What to Expect
Our courses are a minimum of 8-hours long and normally just take one day to complete.
This course includes,

  • Classroom and Range Time.

  • NRA rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.

  • Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet.

  • Materials explaining many portions of the Ohio concealed handgun-licensing laws (CHL).
    These materials are intended for informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice. The Golden Trigger recommends you direct specific questions to an attorney.

  • Student Examination and Course Completion Certificate, plus an Ohio application for a concealed handgun license.
